SESSION 8 IN ENGLISH MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT
Instructional design:
The students have to be able to analyse and to evaluate materials found in the text books. Therefore, they will make a group of 5 till 7 people and take one of available e-books here. The members of the group will discuss them and present their analysis and evaluation on that e-books. The books are free school electronics books (BSE) taken from any sources in the internet.
Method:
The teacher uses project based approach with communication approach in which her students will present their findings after analysing and evaluating one of BSE.

This topic is very important for the teachers who also being materials developers. The teachers should be able to analyse and to evaluate their materials to achieve learning goals. To learn more about the procedure to analyse a book and the aspects which could be evaluated, you could open this PPT. Then, you do the project and get involve in the practices. please choose one of the BSE (Buku Sekolah Elektronik Bahasa Inggris) for your group discussion. These are the books:
