This session discusses how the concept of FL learning teaching have developed from the ongoing research, experience, and knowledge. Therefore, it can't be separated from the teacher's role as educator and facilitator in a classroom. The concept also start from the theory of language such as SLA and others that involve in human interaction. The existence of COVID-19 has changed various aspects of life, especially in the field of education. Before the pandemic, the learning system was carried out face-to-face in the classroom. But now it has turned into a distance learning system using video technology-based media.
The approach used is the student learning center. Meanwhile, the current effective learning method is blended learning. The blended learning method is a method that uses 2 approaches at once. This method uses an online system and face-to-face via video conferencing.
There are 3 strategies used, namely:
1. Visual learning
2. Audio learning
3. Kinesthetic learning
The technique are:
1. The learning media used by the teacher are google classroom, google meet, zoom. The application is considered to be able to meet learning needs. (Opening)
2. Enter this activity or learning (main activity). Students are invited to discuss the topics to be discussed. This is done to prepare students' prior knowledge.
3. Reading comprehension. Can be done individually at a certain time when learning is taking place. While reading the text in the book students are also allowed to listen to the illustrated story on the video.
4. The teacher asks again the material that has been studied that day. Then the teacher also informs students that there are assignments that must be done by students which they can see in Google Classroom. (Clossing)
E. Assessment (assessment) is carried out after students successfully submit assignments through Google Classroom.

Today class has been implementing concepts of fl learning teaching, for example:
1. The lecturer gives sub materials to the student and then students are asked to write a paper and make a presentation in front of his friends. Teachers will only notice and comment. After that, students will be asked to repair the paper they have already done.
2. Lecturers only act as facilitators and students are required to develop their own materials/submaterial given to students. Students will develop their own material by relying on pre-existing theories and research.
3. Students are usually given assignments related to critical thinking because students are required to have the ability to implement the materials they have obtained.

Based on what I have read earlier about the concept of teaching English as Foreign Language, I got the concept of task-based learning. Task-based learning is a communicative approach that utilizes tasks to facilitate language acquisition. In Task-Based Learning, the central role is taken by students, and the teacher is a facilitator to support successful learning in the classroom. There are several characteristics of task-based learning, such as focusing on figuring out how to interact in the target language through interaction, improving student's personal experiences as critical educational components, and others. Then why should we introduce task-based learning in EFL classes? The first are Task-based Learning increases students' motivation, Task-based Learning increases unconstrained engagement, and Task-based Learning improves language exposure (Sholeh et al., 2021).

Since the change in learning modes from offline (outside the network) to online (within the network) has been widely carried out in a number of education providers as a result of Covid 19, not a few teachers have experienced difficulties in carrying out their learning. Several factors include the lack of knowledge related to ICT (Information and Communications Technology).
Starting from preparation to assessment of the learning process, of course, must adjust to the online learning mode. The Learning Management System (LMS), an online learning platform for education providers who carry out distance education, is a learning space that teachers must know well. LMS includes Google Classroom, Edmodo, Zoom, Google Meet, and so on. Once they are well acquainted, the teacher only needs to fill in the lesson like teaching in an offline mode, but of course there are some limitations. Unlike the offline mode, online learning activities must be delivered digitally, in the form of soft files, not hard files.
Method used
1. Online method
2. Blended learning
3. Audio Learning

In the TBI-5D class, I think I have used fl learning teaching because we as students learn to be able to speak a foreign language, namely English, in learning English there are several examples such as the concept of Moeller & Catalano, 2015.
1. The task of giving the task of making a paper by providing the source of the content of the paper with language theory, research findings and experience of scientists and even the experience of students themselves for the paper and presentation of the paper to classmates and class discussions to discuss the material that has been presented so that participants communicative and interactive learning in the classroom.
2. The sensation of observing, understanding, criticizing and justifying what is not true from the papers that have been presented so that students do not misunderstand the subject matter.
3. Students become the center of teaching because lecturers usually give assignments to make papers with the sources that have been given and students with their respective groups find out, make paper frameworks and develop them so that students read English books or articles on their own so that they learn foreign languages the.

Regarding the latest news that is happening around the world, of course, it has not been separated from the COVID-19 pandemic which has not subsided. The Indonesian government has determined the implementation of restrictions on community activities or commonly referred to as PPKM on the islands of Java and Bali, starting in July and extended until now. The implementation of vaccination activities has also been carried out by many. Vaccination is certainly needed so that the immune system in our bodies can fight the COVID-19 virus, but even though we have been vaccinated, of course, we still apply 5M, namely maintaining distance, washing hands, avoiding crowds, wearing masks, and reducing mobility. Regarding the current learning system, it has begun to be implemented offline in several schools by adhering to strict health protocols. For students who have not been able to carry out offline learning, of course using an online system. The online system implemented during a pandemic like today is by using several applications that allow teachers to meet students face-to-face via the internet, such as using Zoom and Google Meet. In addition to face-to-face, the online learning process can also use group chat applications such as Whatsapp Group, Google Classroom, and others. Of course, with various kinds of learning processes carried out at this time, it can expand the existing learning methods.

The difficulty of handling the Corona virus has greatly impacted the education sector. Because in order to stop the spread of the virus, all students and teachers carry out the teaching and learning process from home.
The change in the way of teaching and learning from face-to-face or offline (outside the network) to online (within the network) requires the readiness of all elements, from the government, schools, teachers, students and parents. provided that learning can still take place without having to be burdened with the achievement of competence. So many teachers do online learning by utilizing existing technology. Various applications play an important role in the learning process, such as WhatsApp, google meet, zoom cloud meetings, and many more. The concept of learning has not changed much, it's just that online learning is considered less effective.

It has been a very long time for us (TBI 5E), and maybe almost all UIN Banten students have not done face-to-face learning.
Before the pandemic and requiring us to study online, we were taught English in class with the usual concepts of arguing with our classmates, presenting, asking questions.
It's still the same now, but the difference is that we used to go to college and meet face-to-face with our lecturers and friends, but now we learn online.

In the world of education, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on teaching and learning activities, forcing us to completely change the way we learn from face-to-face in the classroom to distance learning. The learning that is being carried out at this time is distance learning or often we called online learning which is an important element in this activity is an internet network. With this online learning, students have more flexible time, whenever and wherever they can do it.
The media that can be used by students and teachers to interact during teaching and learning activities is by using several applications such as classroom, google meet, zoom, and WhatsApp groups. In addition, teachers can provide learning materials that students can access at any time through media in the form of e-books, YouTube, and power points.

A few weeks ago teaching and learning activities could be done offline, with the condition that they followed predetermined rules. With this face-to-face activity, teachers have a new concept, different from online learning. Where teachers can invite discussions directly with their students and also invite students to take active movements or practice in learning.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed people's interaction patterns and habits. Given the risk of transmission, the practice of implementing learning requires adjustments to ensure safety. Due to these conditions, learning is currently done online.
Learning is done now without doing face to face. however, through available platforms. Currently, to support the learning process well, students use several applications such as Zoom, Google Meet, Google Classroom, WhatsApp Group, YouTube, and others.
Today learning is carried out using E-Learning provided by UIN which makes learning flexible and independent. E-learning provides flexibility in choosing the time and place to access lessons.
E-learning also provides an opportunity for students to independently control the success of learning.
Several methods are presented in online learning such as competency-based, concept of a tour and video concept.

The Corona Virus Diseases-19 (COVID-19) pandemic has forced all sectors to stop operating, including the world of education. Currently the Government has allowed face-to-face learning activities for schools in the green and yellow zones, with a series of preparatory measures and strict health protocols.
The learning system during the pandemic has now changed to Distance Learning (PJJ). Learning in the classroom, which was originally a face-to-face approach, becomes face-to-face using technology such as video conferencing or web conferencing.
One of the learning methods that is considered effective for PJJ is the Blended Learning method. The blended learning method is a method that uses two approaches at once. In a sense, this method uses an online system as well as face-to-face virtual via video conferencing.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, current learning cannot be done face-to-face, so teachers are required to prepare new concepts, such as learning with 2 learning methods Synchrounous, Asynchronous, Synchrounous is Synchronous Learning is online learning directly using the teleconferencing application example by zoom, Google meet. Asynchronous is an online learning process that provides teaching materials and indirect assignments. Teaching materials and assignments can be in the form of videos along with sign language and their translations or other forms, the teacher gives the material using WhatsApp, Telegram, or the same media like that.

A foreign language is a language that is only used in elective subjects, for travel, and for cross-cultural communication.
But during a pandemic like now learning is very disrupted and there are some changes, especially in learning fl. as for the recent conditions in the implementation of the fl learning teaching concept in a classroom, among others:
1. the flipped classroom method. this method is blended learning, which combines synchronous and asynchronous learning. This method focuses on students and usually uses digital media platforms such as youtube and etc.
2. Project based learning. this method is very suitable for learning fl at this time because we can make training through small groups, although not face to face learning can still run through applications such as video projects and uploaded on social media such as whatsapp, instagram, youtube, blogs, etc.

This new condition is during a pandemic. Where all the usual activities outside the home such as work, study and other activities must be moved home, especially education, which has been done for almost 2 years at home. Teachers usually use learning media such as gmeet, zoom, whatsapp and other online learning media.
Concept of FL learning teaching (Moeller, & Catalano) and the impelemntation in a classroom
1. Foreign language (FL) learning teaching has changed from teacher-centered to
learner/learning-centered environments.
---Teachers usually arrange student-focused learning plus this online learning. Therefore, students are required to be more independent and develop with their own abilities rather than relying on lecturers/teachers in learning, especially in learning foreign languages which will now be more student-centered.
---for example, teachers/lecturers deliver material through the whatsapp application and give a final assignment to make articles about FL Learning Teaching.
2. Relying on language theories, research findings, and experiences, educators
developed teaching strategies and learning environments that engaged learners in interactive communicative language tasks.
---In this time of pandemic, teaching strategies that previously only prioritized learning in person in class became learning online at home without meeting in person. Therefore, teachers have challenges in developing effective strategies in teaching interesting foreign languages to their students and always involving students in interactive and communicative language tasks. As still includes cooperation between students and others. So that, even though distance learning, students can understand the material easily.
---for example, the teacher always makes group presentations in each course with the aim of creating interactive and communicative learning
3. A shift in FL pedagogy from a specific FL method to the measurement of
language performance/competence.
--- In many cases, students do very well in writing but do not perform satisfactorily in speaking. Or some students can perform very well in English class, but they lost their words when they have to talk to native speakers of English. Therefore, the teacher is obliged to make more exercises, competency/performance testing for students in learning foreign languages rather than adding theory in the classroom.
---for example, some teachers always train students' foreign language speaking skills by brainstorming before starting the lesson and after doing the lesson.
4. the role of the teacher has changed from one of authority/expert to that of
facilitator/guide and agent of change
---In this pandemic situation, teachers are required to facilitate or guide their students to be more active in learning and participating in learning, even though they are still learning remotely, but the spirit of learning must remain smoldering. Implementation in the classroom is usually found in the use of media which is usually chosen by each teacher in carrying out learning by considering the comfort and convenience of students in participating in learning, then the teacher also usually facilitates students in references for teaching materials/foreign language learning materials.
---for example, the teacher always facilitates students in RPS in the form of reference sources, and suitable media in each course.

learning models during the Covid-19 period in Indonesia, because during the Covid-19 period learning uses online and distance learning which requires the application of appropriate learning models and can be carried out properly. Methods with qualitative literature review or library research with content analysis. The results of the study found that online or online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic greatly affected students' interest in learning, students felt bored because they did not meet their friends and teachers directly. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many things including educational life, parents of students, students and the learning process, so the need for a teacher who has the responsibility to truly educate students where teachers must find appropriate ways to promote the learning process with the learning models found in this study are the cooperative learning model, the problem based learning (PBL) learning model, the project based learning (PjBL) learning model, the flipped classroom (FC) learning model, and the digital literacy learning model (LD).

The COVID-19 pandemic has spread since the end of 2019 until now in several regions with different times, including 193 countries that have struggled against indiscriminate Covid attacks.
Online learning should encourage students to be creative, access as many sources of knowledge as possible, produce works, hone insights and ultimately shape students into lifelong learners. to minimize the spread of Covid-19. So, to slow down the spread of the Corona virus in the community. The Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud) responded with a policy of learning from home, through online learning.
an online teacher is required to hone some of his skills, in order to be able to do various creative ways of online teaching. Of course with the quality of learning that makes it easy for students to understand the subject matter being taught. What's more, nowadays it is sophisticated so that it is possible to learn online as for examples of learning concepts, namely through applications such as zoom, gmeet, whatsapp groups, e-learning and others.

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the teaching and learning process from what was originally done face-to-face in the classroom to an online learning system via a computer, laptop or smart phone. Usually learning using applications include Gmeet, Zoom, Google Classroom, e-learning, WhatsApp groups and other online learning media. Of course, the concept of teaching and its implementation are also different, especially in foreign language learning. Meanwhile, effective learning currently includes discussion learning to improve reading and speaking skills, as well as getting used to thinking critically when reading material.
1. Learning is usually done by creating groups and then discussing the material, by facilitating online meeting rooms, such as gmeet or zoom, each group prepares learning materials to be shared with friends so that they can be understood before learning begins. The learning system explains, then discusses the material. So that students are trained to think critically and can develop material according to their understanding.
2. Assessment is given by the teacher when students are active in learning or the results of collecting assignments.
3. Language centered method, namely language learning is taught through understanding lingual forms. This method, for example audiolingual, provides an opportunity for teachers to practice the ligual forms of a foreign language, in the form of videos that have been edited and published so that students can watch it repeatedly.
The selection of foreign language learning methods in particular must be adapted to the goals of the learner himself and strategies must be pursued that make the learner more interest.

Foreign language learning in Indonesia constitutes an attempt for Indonesians to be able to absorp and keep up with the development of science and technology in the world, and to provide a way for Indonesian people to interact with other global members. The policy of distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic poses new problems for education. The implementation of education and learning has undergone drastic changes. Learning is no longer using conventional face-to-face meetings, but is starting to be integrated with online learning.
One of the current learning methods that are considered effective for distance learning is the Blended Learning method. The blended learning method is a method that uses two approaches at once. So, even though students and teachers are learning remotely, they can still interact with each other. The media used during the pandemic in implementing the concept of foreign language learning in the classroom are the Google Classroom application, Zoom, Google Meet and so on. The application is considered capable of meeting the learning requirements with a blended learning approach. In terms of implementing English learning using the blended learning method, the things needed are: The teacher prepares a weekly program which is given to students every week through WAG, then the teacher prepares a lesson plan for activities during the Google Meeting, the creativity of the teacher in providing a learning platform in the form of a youtube link, videos, powerpoint, blogs and so on.

The describing the recent condition in the implementation of the FL learning teaching concept in a classroom
1. Method emphasize grammar
In addition to grammar, there are also translations or translations used to teach vocabulary. The teacher will teach material about grammar using formulas, then use translation when teaching reading, writing, and vocabulary in English.
2. Audio Lingual Method
the teacher practices a short dialogue which means that it cannot be translated by students. The teacher gives various instructions to the students to follow the dialogue and then the students guess the dialogue meaning from the expressions, poses, and things that are practiced by the teacher.
3. Total Physical Response
This method is done by the teacher doing some work such as walking, sitting, writing a book, holding objects, or writing. But before the teacher carries out these tasks, he orders first with instructions in a foreign language. This was repeated several times, then the teacher gave the students orders with the same orders as before. Through these commands, students are expected to be able to carry out commands such as the examples that have been given. The teacher certainly does not carry out the order but only provides corrections.

The covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world for almost 2 years has at least changed the way you learn English. Students who used to go to school or university, now can't anymore.
One of the learning concept that are considered effective for learning FL is the blended learning method. The blended learning method is a method that uses two approaches at once.
One of the media used by teachers during the pandemic is the Google Classroom application, Google Meet or Zoom. This application is considered capable of meeting the learning requirements with a blended learning approach.
The next stage is to enter the main activity or learning (main activity). Students are invited to discuss the topics to be discussed. This is done to prepare students' prior knowledge (pre-test). Discussion topics can be made through the Google Meet, Zoom, or Google Classsroom applications.
The next step is reading comprehension. Can be done individually with a certain time during the learning takes place. The last step, closing (closing). The teacher asks again what students have learned that day and provides information related to the material that students will learn at the next meeting. The teacher also informs students that students are given assignments related to the day's material which they can see in classwork on Google Classroom.
Assessment is carried out through Google Classroom, Whatsapp, or Google forms, when students have succeeded in answering questions in class assignments, don't forget the teacher gives appreciation in the form of words or emoticons that inspire enthusiasm, for example the words very good, good job, perfect, well done, awesome, and so on.

In indonesia, English is including into foreign language. Therefore, when the teachers teach Indonesian Student, the teachers have to know the appropriate strategies and method that used in order to the material and the Topic can be accepted by student. In recent condition, the spirit of student in learning a foreign language is decreasing more significant, because the pandemic limited the access between teacher and student. Then, the interaction among them also limited. There are many excuses from the student to not to Study English. Such as the the decreasing of spirit and a lack of media in teaching process. It can causes the learning lost and it Will be dangerous for their future. So, the teacher should to be more creative in finding the inovative strategies for teaching student and delivering the material of Foreign language. Then the student can be more understand about the material and the teacher cab maintain the spirit from the student.

Foreign language learning teaching was experienced changed in recent condition. The pandemic is the cause of activities movements for almost 2 years since 2019. In the FL learning teaching I have learnt in this pandemic are deriving to the syncronous and asyncronous learning where learning teaching conducted by long distance learning through the digital media. Then, in the implementation of the FL learning teaching learning is centered more to the student, and the lectures as the facilitator help student to be exposure the FL through digital media such find more material in youtube, articles, ebooks, or texts book. The lectures usualy prepared the material that uploaded to the youtube, e-learning and blogspots then the student learn from those tools. The others implementation of the FL learning teaching are lectures encourage student to be master the FL by given the tasks where must be done using critical thinking in the form of small research, essays, papers, reviewing some movies, articles, journals, and novel.
Because of the pandemic, encourage learning teaching addapting and multitasking to the differents media. However, it have improved our skills to be addaptable in the learning teaching. The weak and the plus of the recent condition keep give the FL learning teaching increase because of so many tools we can use.

Foreign language learning and teaching have undergone a significant paradigm shift as a result of the research and experiences that have expanded the scientific and theoretical knowledge base on how students learn and acquire a foreign language. Traditionally, learning a foreign language was thought to be a ‘mimetic’ activity, a process that involved students repeating or imitating new information.
Research has revealed that knowledge of language structures demonstrated on discrete-point tests does not ensure communicative ability when the measure of language knowledge is one of more spontaneous language use. Further studies have shown that there is little correlation between the rules learners are taught and their developing knowledge of the second language.

The new paradigm during the pandemic has brought changes in the learning process. The teaching and learning process which is usually face-to-face has now turned into a screen-to-screen teaching and learning process through digital media. The process of this indirect meeting is in an effort to break the chain of the spread of the Covid-19 virus which continues to run rampant. Teachers, students, and of course parents are now busy trying to get to know the digital world as a platform in an effort to maximize the learning process online or online. This certainly changes the learning climate that used to be dominated by classical into non-classical even though we are actually in the millennial era which is thick with the digital world. The need for an IT-based teaching and learning concept and mechanism is inevitable. The concept, which was later known as e-learning, had the effect of transforming conventional education into digital form, both in terms of content and system.

With this online learning, the learning method used also changes, namely by using visual and auditory methods. Visual methods can use videos from youtube or videos made by yourself. During online learning, teachers can also use social media such as wa, telegram, line, etc. to convey learning to students. English became a foreign language rather than a second language, certainly there was an effective method of teaching English in class. English is much more practical and should be used in teaching English since English lessons are only taught once a week. In addition to teachers who must be active and innovative in delivering material, learners must also be active in practicing English in the classroom, and many learn foreign languages also outside the classroom. Teachers must also create a pleasant learning atmosphere and occasionally allow teachers to teach their children to study outside the classroom. Like going to tourist resorts with many foreign tourists so that we can practice our speaking ability.

The concept of learning has been developed followed by trend. In this era, FL learning doesn't teach only in the class but involve the environment. Implementation of the FL learning that most visible is how can a teacher not only rely on theory and research findings, but teachers can develop learning strategies. For example in this pandemic era, teachers use several online applications such as Google Meet, Zoom meetings, and Google classroom to help the learning process take place and build interactive communication with students. But, if the teacher cannot do face-to-face interactions online using online applications such as zoom meetings and others, then the teacher can also provide material through the YouTube application then the teacher and students can ask questions in the comment column. Through the use of technology media, it is also hoped that students will use technology for useful things, namely for learning. Nowadays, a teacher should be able to become a friend so that students feel comfortable when learning takes place, as well as become leaders who are able to change them for the better.

The corona virus has a big impact on the learning process in schools. To stop the spread of the virus, learning must be done online. the recent condition of FL learning teaching is done online, namely by blended learning. Blended learning is a blending of classroom lessons and online learning, blended learning combines the concept of face-to-face with the media: whatsapp, google meet and zoom and others. An example of the application of blended learning is the teacher uploads the subject matter in a google classroom or whats app group and provides an explanation of the material via zoom or google meet.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact, especially on the learning process, as a result of Covid-19 requiring learning to be done online, in order to prevent the spread of the virus.
FL learning is also done online. Applications that help in the online learning process include Whatsapp, google meet, zoom, google classroom and other media. Online learning must be done creatively to make it more fun and easy to understand.

As we know that the world is still experiencing the impact of the Covid-19 Virus which is spreading to all parts of the world. Education is also one of the sectors that have been affected by this virus, so that all parts of the world implement an online learning system.
In my Opinion, the recent condition in implementation of FL learning teaching concept in the classroom is teaching by using applications as a means for teaching that can make it easier for teachers to teach, such as Zoom, Google Meet, Google Classroom and so on.
The teaching system applied by the teacher differs depending on the level of education taught by the teacher. However, teachers must use creative methods, so as not to make students bored in learning and also methods that are easily understood by students

Online media such as zoom, gmeet, google class rom, and whatsapp are currently used in FL learning. Several educational institutions have also had face-to-face (offline) sessions, however these are still in the early stages. This is related to the current situation in Indonesia, which is dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Because not all students can learn online, this causes some students to lose interest in learning. However, the instructional method remains the same as it was previously. The teacher explains what the material is and how we will learn at the first meeting, and then students are expected to study the material and then present each item that was discussed at the previous meeting. The teacher only serves as a supervisor and mediator at the second meeting. If there are still students who do not comprehend the material, the teacher will clarify it to them.
