1. Technological innovation has gone well with the growth of English and changed the way students communicate, For this reason, it is important for English teachers to understand and master the latest and greatest technologies and have full knowledge of what is available in a given situation. Teachers can use multimedia technology to give lectures that are more colorful and stimulating. Multimedia-based learning can offer students abundant information; more than textbooks, and helps them to showcase clear cultural backgrounds, rich content, and true-to-life language material, which is much more natural and closer to life. Not only learners can improve their listening skills, but also learn other cultures. Understanding information through multiple channels.
Multimedia enriches teaching content and makes the best use of class time and breaks the "teacher-centered" teaching pattern and fundamentally improves class efficiency. Because the class is large, it is difficult for students to have a speaking communication. The traditional teaching model mainly emphasizes teacher instruction, and the information provided is limited due to traditional classrooms. On the other hand, multimedia technology transcends space and time, creates a more lively, visual and authentic environment for learning English, stimulates student initiative and saves students time in class, also improves information for students in class. Multimedia-based teaching emphasizes the role of students, and increases the importance of "interaction" between teachers and students. The main feature of multimedia-based teaching is to train and improve students' ability to listen and speak, and to develop their communicative competence.
When using multimedia software, teachers can use images to enrich classroom content, and also provide a different context in the learning process. Students in the classroom can use multimedia to understand the material in a clear way. Through the whole interactive process, it is clear that using multimedia in learning English effectively can maintain students' interest in learning English, as well as increase the interest of teachers in implementing English language teaching. In addition, multimedia teaching is also flexible. It is clear that the context can be created not only in the class, but also outside the class. Teaching English using multimedia can also create a learning environment that is teacher-focused and student-centered. Students definitely have some problems in teaching in the classroom, which can be handled under the guidance of the teacher. In such circumstances, students can use technology to their advantage, such as utilizing networks to contact teachers and receive answers via email.
2. The current curriculum must be able to accommodate technology for student learning, because it will help student learning, for example during the current pandemic, where the curriculum is required to be able to use media as learning materials, so many schools choose to use hybrid learning as an alternative learning . In addition, the use of media or technology in learning aims to minimize the backwardness of schools in learning.
DeleteWe must know that to face the 21st century, UNESCO through "The International Commission on Education for the Twenty First Century" recommends sustainable (lifelong) education which is carried out based on four pillars of the learning process, namely: Learning to know (learning to master knowledge), learning to do (learning to know skills), learning to be (learning to develop oneself), and Learning to live together (learning to live in society), in order to realize the four pillars of education in the current era of information globalization, teachers as learning agents need to master and apply Information and Communication Technology in learning.
Telephone communication, computers, internet, e-mail and so on are often used in education. Interaction between teachers and students is not only done through face-to-face relationships but is also carried out using media. Teachers can provide services without having to deal directly with students. Similarly, students can obtain information in a broad scope from various sources of virtual space media by using computers or the internet.
The most recent, the development of what is called "cyber teaching" or Maya teaching, namely the learning process carried out using the internet. Another term that is increasingly popular today is e-learning, which is a learning model using Information and Communication Technology media, especially the Internet
3. There are many tools called English learning technology, one of which is interactive whiteboard, where this tool is able to help students understand lessons more quickly, and make the learning process more interesting, so learning becomes easy,
DeleteThe second is youtube, youtube helps us add kids vocab very easily. Actually, by using media from YouTube, it makes it easier for students to freely find the learning resources they want. Especially with learning English, there are many sources on YouTube that offer some material related to English. But we as teachers should use what is relevant and take what is from native speakers. Why are native speakers
The aim is to provide students with an introduction to good and correct word pronunciation, intonation in each sentence, expressions during a dialogue, and the dialect of native speakers is very important to introduce. an example is, bbc learn English. In addition to using native speakers, this account also contains animated images or illustrations as visuals. Of course it will not make students bored in learning English. In addition to teaching students to practice their listening skills and comprehension, we can also use it as an assessment in the form of a close procedure. We can type in the speaker's script, and give the random script to the students. When listening to the video, students can complete the missing parts. In this case, they can proceed in training themselves to listen and transfer information in the form of an assessment close procedure.
The third is Zoom and Google Classroom, which really help us in the distance learning process, especially during the current pandemic, where we still have to deliver learning material without meeting face to face. we know that all of these tools are as technology in learning English because the majority of advertisements or features on these tools use English, so we as users not only enjoy the tools, but understand the tools and add vocans in an unintentional way.

1. Currently, information technology in education has penetrated into various subjects including English subjects. There are so many roles of information technology in learning English, especially in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic which has shifted learning from school to online. Regarding application technology that is very effective in learning English, the author who teaches at SMP Negeri 1 Pemalang in implementing Distance Learning (PJJ) summarizes from several sources, namely: First, Quipper School. Quipper school is a platform designed for classroom learning. This platform can be used for middle and high school teachers and students. Second, Edmodo. Edmodo is an education network platform based on the Learning Management System (LMS) that will connect teachers and students and even parents to do online learning that can be accessed for free. Not only communicating, through this platform teachers can do learning by sharing content in the form of text or video practice questions, up to homework (Homework). Third, Socrative. Socrative is almost the same as Edmodo and Quipper school. The bright display makes students fall in love with Socrative. Teachers can also download the application on google play and i-store. Fourth, Padlet. Padlets can be a place for students to develop their writing skills and the results of their activities can be stored and will be part of the skills assessment for students. Usually there are students who are embarrassed to ask questions in class. Padlets then become a great tool for students who are shy about asking direct questions. They just type in the Padlet, and the teacher can read their questions and answer them right away. Fifth, Acapella Group. This application makes it very easy for English or other foreign language teachers to develop students' listening skills. The teacher types sentences, Acapella will synthetically process these sentences into the sound we want. Sixth, Booktrack. This app is a lot of fun. Students can improve their reading skills.

1. In my point of view, ICT has the critical role in English learning. ICT can make English learning process run effectively. With the technology, as teachers, we are able to improve our teaching skill and of course it will impact the learning quality too.
2. Based on my thought, the recent curriculum is good enough. It is supposed to cover the needs of the technology well. However, in reality it has not reached all the educational institution yet. There are still many students especially who live in the remote village could not get their education well because of the lack of technology. I think the technology utilization in learning process should be improved.
3. There are many kinds of the learning tools that could be classified into technology, such as: interactive multimedia, computer, audio devices, internet, television, gadget, social interface, interactive whiteboard, computer or mobile applications, etc. they are known as technology used in English education because they are beneficial to improve English learning quality and help teachers to reach the learning goals and finally students can meet their needs.

1. Today's ICT cannot be separated from teaching and learning because we are in a time where technology is an important role both as a learning multimedia and IT.
In the process this ICT is used by teachers and students by utilizing media and IT that can be accessed easily, for example using YouTube as a platform to share learning videos for students to facilitate understanding through images and sound media so, they can be easier to understand, and of course using IT and multimedia This must be in line with the skills that students want to develop. For example for improving students' listening or reading skills using videos that are shown using in focus and watch some movie.
2. The last curriculum I used was Curriculum 13 and I really like it conceptually and the way students learn is to make students as a learning center, for the latest curriculum (prototype) I still not familiar because it has not been used where I teach.
In my opinion, today's teachers are quite sensitive and can take advantage of technological developments in their environment, for example in the school where I teach elementary school students at school, a computer lab is provided for children to get to know devices better and access more information related to learning materials and play videos using In focus to can make children understand better because obtaining information does not only come from books and teachers and using ICT for children today makes children more enthusiastic because ICT is very close to them, especially after the pandemic.
3. Learning tools in technology are, Internet, computer (software and hardware) or also divided into IT and multimedia. The two cannot be separated, hardware in the form of: computers, cellphones, audio/speakers, etc. and for software, it is generally in the form of applications such as Aplication, YouTube, WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.
They are known as technology in language teaching because this technology is closely related and used in learning and teaching English in institutions. And the existence of technology that also supports the development of children's language skills because in general technology use English language in it.

ReplyDelete1. As we know, nowadays ICT (Information and Communication Technology) has been used in almost all aspects of our life, including in education. In the education field, computer technology has become essential that every level from preschool through to university will put this as major issue in the education world. Since then, computers play a significant role in the learning process, especially in learning language, so every school has used the ICT to facilitate the teacher to teach in the classroom with many kinds of applications to improve and enhance the learning process. So, in the present, the integration of ICT in the teaching and learning process can’t be denied anymore.
2. According to me the current curriculum that is used in every level of school lately is quite enough to accommodate the needs of technology for the student’s life, but this also depends on some circumstances, such as the geography where students live and the quality of the teacher in their school. The geography aspect will determine student access to the technology which gives an advantage to whom live in the city. And the teacher qualification also will take an important role, because they have to upgrade themselves to master the technology that will support classroom activity and overcome the challenges in this era.
3. There are some kinds of learning tools that could be categorized as technology, such as:
a. Interactive multimedia
b. Computer
c. Audio devices
d. Internet
e. Television
f. Telephone
g. Mobile gadget
h. Social interface
i. Interactive whiteboard
These are known as the technology being used in English education because these tools are commonly used in a language context.
2. The curriculum cannot be separated from an educational process. The curriculum is a set of subjects and educational programs provided by an educational institution that contains lesson plans that will be given to students at a certain level of education. For students, the function of the curriculum is as a means to measure self-efficacy and education consumption. This is also related to pursuing targets that make it easy for students to understand various materials or carry out the learning process every day with ease.
ReplyDelete3. Actually, there are a lot of learning tools in technology, there are software and hardware.. We can use computers and the internet too, the two cannot be separated, hardware in the form of: computers, cellphones, speakers, earphones etc. And of course in software we can use google form or bit.ly too, there are lots of applications that we can also use such as applications like youtube, zoom, whatsapp, facebook or blogspot like this test etc.
We know that technology in language teaching cannot be separated. very important can be one to improve the development and accommodate students.

1. In the middle ages, humans have tried to discover how to change ordinary metals into gold. They tried mixing up the different metals. These people were called alchemists, and the way they tried to change the metals into gold was called alchemy. Now that age has gone past, now we are trying to make education better. Thanks to technological advancements, we have found a way to make education better – Information and Communication Technology in Education (ICT in education). It is the perfect alchemy between technology and education. Given that ICT in education is now becoming a big thing, we rather know why a lot of schools take up ICT in education.
As my opinion ict for the students is very important, because its helps them got many information, news and knowledge.
2. Curriculum is not a textbook, nor the materials, videos and worksheets that help us instruct students. It is the knowledge and skills that students are expected to learn as they progress through our school system, and In China, the most recent curriculum reform of basic education1 began with the National Congress of Education held by the Chinese central government in 1999. Since the decision to implement well-rounded quality education nation-wide, which was made by the central government at that congress, curriculum reform has been emerging as a centerpiece of basic education. This is seen in the key documents issued by the State Council (State Council, 2001) and the Ministry of Education (MoE) (MoE, 2004a). Stated another way, the central government has seen curriculum reform as a vehicle for holistic reform of education. Although the curriculum of basic education in China has experienced several waves of change since the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, the past changes have never been as profound as this recent one (Zhong, Cui, & Zhang, 2001, p. 3). The essential rationale for this assertion is that the momentum for this current curriculum reform results from the changing economic and political contexts of China over the past 20 years.
Yes, it accommodate the needs of technology for the students life. As I know a lot of students need the recent curriculum, why? Because the many information will gotten as quick as possible, and than we are as the teacher has the power to do this curriculum, to make the students learning more easy and faster getting information, news, knowledge and other information.
3. The are 10 tools that could be categorized as technology the are : Audio For Instruction, Video For Instruction, Video Note Taking Tools and ect.
Because from that we got many information mad us very easy to understand about the lesson example, When we started a new school with no money, no textbooks, and only had some rented space, & modest furnishings, I interviewed 100 teachers to hire 8. They were very creative, resourceful, passionate and all used original materials. The science teacher used field studies and students' notes to develop a program that now serves over 5000 students in an eco-monitoring system that provides data to numerous local, state and federal agencies. Real, hands-on learning that cuts across disciplines and grade levels and generates student commitment and accountability

THE ANSWER!
1. As we know ICT mentioned as technology which the function is to support the process of information and communication. In English education, ICT has an important role as the “media” the learning process, or direct communication between students and teacher although they are not present in the same room or place in certain time. Language learning program can be created to enable students to learn the lessons with guidance, instruction, information or further explanation. ICT in English education like as a computer can store unlimited lessons or references, which can be accessed anytime, anywhere and accurately. it works from seven ways in which ICT used in language learning:
a) Presentation ,b) Practice, c) Authoring, d) Computer-Aided Assessment (CAA), e) Publishing, f) Communications, g) Simulations
2. according to me, the recent curriculum most supposed to new generation more creative, and attractive in the teaching learning process. The learning environment is more dynamic than ever before, and as a result, today’s learners are very different from those that our educational system was designed for. With the advancement in technology, classrooms are being remodeled and redefined in a number of ways to fit the evolving needs of modern digital learners. As we know, many higher education institutions are substituting traditional resources with educational technologies in an attempt to keep up with their digital learning population. Below we look at reasons why students need technology in the classroom environment and how it can impact engagement. The technologies can help the teacher and students in some process teaching learning, they are:
a.Helps connect students to the real world:
In this era the technology allows educators to remove the physical barriers of the classroom, offering students a way to connect the curriculum with the real world. They can contact or connect other people around the world, and they also can reach many knowledge from the real world.
b.Prepares students for the workforce:
c.Supports different types of learners
d.Access information more easily:
Technology makes it easier for students to find information quickly and accurately. Search engines and e-books are replacing traditional textbooks. Instead of personal tutors, students can get one-on-one help through educational videos – anytime and anywhere.
e.Teaches students how to be responsible online:
3. There are some tools of technologies classified into information and communication technology commonly used in language context, such as:
•Interactive multimedia
Interactive media is the integration of digital media including combinations of electronic text, graphics, moving images, and sound, into a structured digital computerized environment that allows people to interact with the data for appropriate purposes.
•Computer
•Internet
Internet can be used as a medium of language learning through email, www (world wide web), text, audio and video conferencing.
•Television
•Mobile gadget
•Social interface
•Interactive whiteboard
An interactive whiteboard or IWB, is a large interactive display (such as a touch screen monitor) which is connected to a computer and projector. A projector projects the computers’ desktop onto the board’s surface, where users control the computer using a pen, finger or other devices.
all students give great ideas on the discussion of mid term test questions. hopefully, you will have more ideas on that topics coming from facts, theories, even reseach.
