MID TERM TEST OF ICT AND ENGLISH EDUCATION

    Nowadays people can not be separate with technology. People could be parents, teachers, or even students so that they have to be careful facing this situation. The ICT and English education becomes an important subject to guide the students' knowledge and experience using the technology in their learning process. To know how far do the students understand the subject, they have to answer the questions in this link. The current curriculum must be able to accommodate technology for student learning, because it will help student learning, for example during the current pandemic, where the curriculum is required to be able to use media as learning materials, so many schools choose to use hybrid learning as an alternative learning .       The second is youtube, youtube helps us add kids vocab very easily. Actually, by using media from YouTube, it makes it easier for students to freely find the learning resources they want.       The aim is to provide students with an introduction to good and correct word pronunciation, intonation in each sentence, expressions during a dialogue, and the dialect of native speakers is very important to introduce. an example is, bbc learn English. In addition to teaching students to practice their listening skills and comprehension, we can also use it as an assessment in the form of a close procedure. We can type in the speaker's script, and give the random script to the students. When listening to the video, students can complete the missing parts.       The third is Zoom and Google Classroom, which really help us in the distance learning process, especially during the current pandemic, where we still have to deliver learning material without meeting face to face. we know that all of these tools are as technology in learning English because the majority of advertisements or features on these tools use English, so we as users not only enjoy the tools, but understand the tools and add vocans in an unintentional way.

    1. Currently, information technology in education has penetrated into various subjects including English subjects. There are so many roles of information technology in learning English, especially in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic which has shifted learning from school to online. Regarding application technology that is very effective in learning English, the author who teaches at SMP Negeri 1 Pemalang in implementing Distance Learning (PJJ) summarizes from several sources, namely: First, Quipper School. Quipper school is a platform designed for classroom learning. This platform can be used for middle and high school teachers and students. Second, Edmodo. Edmodo is an education network platform based on the Learning Management System (LMS) that will connect teachers and students and even parents to do online learning that can be accessed for free. Not only communicating, through this platform teachers can do learning by sharing content in the form of text or video practice questions, up to homework (Homework). Third, Socrative. Socrative is almost the same as Edmodo and Quipper school. The bright display makes students fall in love with Socrative. Teachers can also download the application on google play and i-store. Fourth, Padlet. Padlets can be a place for students to develop their writing skills and the results of their activities can be stored and will be part of the skills assessment for students. Usually there are students who are embarrassed to ask questions in class. Padlets then become a great tool for students who are shy about asking direct questions. They just type in the Padlet, and the teacher can read their questions and answer them right away. Fifth, Acapella Group. This application makes it very easy for English or other foreign language teachers to develop students' listening skills.     1. In my point of view, ICT has the critical role in English learning. ICT can make English learning process run effectively. With the technology, as teachers, we are able to improve our teaching skill and of course it will impact the learning quality too.
    2. Based on my thought, the recent curriculum is good enough. It is supposed to cover the needs of the technology well. However, in reality it has not reached all the educational institution yet. There are still many students especially who live in the remote village could not get their education well because of the lack of technology. I think the technology utilization in learning process should be improved.
    3. There are many kinds of the learning tools that could be classified into technology, such as: interactive multimedia, computer, audio devices, internet, television, gadget, social interface, interactive whiteboard, computer or mobile applications, etc. they are known as technology used in English education because they are beneficial to improve English learning quality and help teachers to reach the learning goals and finally students can meet their needs.

    1. Today's ICT cannot be separated from teaching and learning because we are in a time where technology is an important role both as a learning multimedia and IT.
    In the process this ICT is used by teachers and students by utilizing media and IT that can be accessed easily, for example using YouTube as a platform to share learning videos for students to facilitate understanding through images and sound media so, they can be easier to understand, and of course using IT and multimedia This must be in line with the skills that students want to develop. For example for improving students' listening or reading skills using videos that are shown using in focus and watch some movie.
    2. The last curriculum I used was Curriculum 13 and I really like it conceptually and the way students learn is to make students as a learning center, for the latest curriculum (prototype) I still not familiar because it has not been used where I teach.
    In my opinion, today's teachers are quite sensitive and can take advantage of technological developments in their environment, for example in the school where I teach elementary school students at school, a computer lab is provided for children to get to know devices better and access more information related to learning materials and play videos using In focus to can make children understand better because obtaining information does not only come from books and teachers and using ICT for children today makes children more enthusiastic because ICT is very close to them, especially after the pandemic.
    3. Learning tools in technology are, Internet, computer (software and hardware) or also divided into IT and multimedia. The two cannot be separated, hardware in the form of: computers, cellphones, audio/speakers, etc. and for software, it is generally in the form of applications such as Aplication, YouTube, WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.

    1. As we know, nowadays ICT (Information and Communication Technology) has been used in almost all aspects of our life, including in education. In the education field, computer technology has become essential that every level from preschool through to university will put this as major issue in the education world. Since then, computers play a significant role in the learning process, especially in learning language, so every school has used the ICT to facilitate the teacher to teach in the classroom with many kinds of applications to improve and enhance the learning process. So, in the present, the integration of ICT in the teaching and learning process can’t be denied anymore.

    2. According to me the current curriculum that is used in every level of school lately is quite enough to accommodate the needs of technology for the student’s life, but this also depends on some circumstances, such as the geography where students live and the quality of the teacher in their school. The geography aspect will determine student access to the technology which gives an advantage to whom live in the city. And the teacher qualification also will take an important role, because they have to upgrade themselves to master the technology that will support classroom activity and overcome the challenges in this era.

The curriculum is a set of subjects and educational programs provided by an educational institution that contains lesson plans that will be given to students at a certain level of education.     1. In the middle ages, humans have tried to discover how to change ordinary metals into gold.They tried mixing up the different metals. These people were called alchemists, and the way they tried to change the metals into gold was called alchemy. Now that age has gone past, now we are trying to make education better. Thanks to technological advancements, we have found a way to make education better – Information and Communication Technology in Education (ICT in education). It is the perfect alchemy between technology and education. Given that ICT in education is now becoming a big thing, we rather know why a lot of schools take up ICT in education.
    As my opinion ict for the students is very important, because its helps them got many information, news and knowledge.

It is the knowledge and skills that students are expected to learn as they progress through our school system, and In China, the most recent curriculum reform of basic education1 began with the National Congress of Education held by the Chinese central government in 1999.     Yes, it accommodate the needs of technology for the students life. As I know a lot of students need the recent curriculum, why? Because the many information will gotten as quick as possible, and than we are as the teacher has the power to do this curriculum, to make the students learning more easy and faster getting information, news, knowledge and other information.


    3. The are 10 tools that could be categorized as technology the are : Audio For Instruction, Video For Instruction, Video Note Taking Tools and ect.
    Because from that we got many information mad us very easy to understand about the lesson example, When we started a new school with no money, no textbooks, and only had some rented space, & modest furnishings, I interviewed 100 teachers to hire 8. They were very creative, resourceful, passionate and all used original materials. The science teacher used field studies and students' notes to develop a program that now serves over 5000 students in an eco-monitoring system that provides data to numerous local, state and federal agencies. Real, hands-on learning that cuts across disciplines and grade levels and generates student commitment and accountability

    1. As we know ICT mentioned as technology which the function is to support the process of information and communication. In English education, ICT has an important role as the “media” the learning process, or direct communication between students and teacher although they are not present in the same room or place in certain time. Language learning program can be created to enable students to learn the lessons with guidance, instruction, information or further explanation. ICT in English education like as a computer can store unlimited lessons or references, which can be accessed anytime, anywhere and accurately. it works from seven ways in which ICT used in language learning:

As we know, many higher education institutions are substituting traditional resources with educational technologies in an attempt to keep up with their digital learning population.
