PRACTICE 5: IDENTIFYIG COMPOUND AND COMPLEX SENTENCE

 Read the following sentence. Then, you identify the sentences it includes as

    Compound-Complex Sentence. Ada 3 klausa:
    Although Sarah was feeling exhausted → dependent clause (diawali although)
    she finished her homework → independent clause
    she cleaned her bedroom → independent clause
    Dua independent clause dihubungkan oleh koma + and, ditambah satu dependent clause. Jadi 2 independent + 1 dependent.
    Kalimat 4: "The professor explained the theory clearly so that all students could understand the concept."
    Complex Sentence. Ada 2 klausa:
    The professor explained the theory clearly → independent clause
    so that all students could understand the concept → dependent clause (diawali so that)
    Hanya ada satu independent clause dan satu dependent clause. Jadi 1 independent + 1 dependent.
